Workers at a wooden plank factory in Jabi, Pokok Sena, Kedah, clashed with two supervisors at about 12.05pm on 11 March 2025 over delayed salary payments, leaving three people with minor injuries. Police opened a rioting investigation and said they were identifying suspects, while the Kedah Labour Department began an inquiry into salary arrears owed to foreign workers. Police reported the following day that the company had resolved the wage payments. The New Straits Times article used here is partly paywalled: only its opening sentence is readable in the saved snapshot, and the quote is that sentence.
