Bus drivers and other employees of the Tehran Bus Company struck from 16 May 2022, halting two major north-south routes and bringing parts of the capital to a standstill. The union said the Supreme Labor Council had approved a 57 percent minimum increase but the municipality had offered only 10 percent; Tehran used about 700 police buses and Revolutionary Guards drivers to keep services running and arrested several drivers, including union leader Reza Shahabi.

Unknown – Sources give no negotiated settlement for the strike period covered.
