Cambodian garment unions called a national strike after the Ministry of Labour set the 2014 minimum wage at US$95 a month on 24 December 2013, well below their demand of US$160. Thousands of workers from some 300 factories stopped work and demonstrated in Phnom Penh; on 26 December striking workers joined opposition supporters in mass protests at Freedom Park. The ministry raised the offer to US$100 on 31 December, still far short of the demand.

- Outcome
- Partial – The minimum wage rose from US$80 to US$95 (announced 24 December 2013) and then to US$100 (announced 31 December), against the unions' demand for US$160. Al Jazeera reported on 8 January 2014 that the national strike had ended after the 3 January crackdown; that report date is used as end_date because no fetched source states the final day of the strike. Workers_involved is unknown: sources say 'thousands' but give no figure.
