San Quintin farmworkers wage and conditions strike 2015
Tens of thousands of farmworkers in the San Quintin valley of Baja California struck in March 2015 for a daily rate near 300 pesos, benefits and an end to abuses in export farms. Police and soldiers dispersed protests with rubber bullets and tear gas, and growers eventually offered a 15 percent rise that most workers accepted.
